I am a man of simple need, I wonder, who, this poem will read, I hear laughter wafting in the air, I see potential greatness everywhere, I want to be remembered as a friend indeed, I am a man of simple need. I pretend one day I'll be a great writer, I feel my words to someone might matter, I touch hearts if my writing is good, I worry I'll offend,if I'm misunderstood, I cry for my childern in this world full of greed, I am a man of simple need. I understand I've been blest with a (poetry)gift, I say it's a privillege for spirits to lift, I dream that one day in heaven I'll live, I try to strive daily my best to give, I hope to stay humble in the life that I lead, I am a man of simple need. 1-9-2001 |

Dear Brother, I have so much love and respect for you. You do not have an easy life, in many respects--but you are not one who is a quitter, or a whinner, but one who simply goes about his daily tasks and activities and does what he has to do. You are one of devotion and determination, and in my estimation, being of quick wit, and able to express yourself--you are one who truly is gifted- a Gift that you humbly, yet joyously & often humorously share with all of us at Passions. dennis i really enjoyed this..this was simply written but packed full with the complex ideals we will all like to have... I try to strive daily my best to give I hope to stay humble in the life i lead I relate to these two lines strongly..thank you... hope all is well |
