Sweet Nothings

You whisper sweet nothings into my ear
And tell me the things that I want to hear
You tell me that I'm special and very fine
And say that I intoxicate you so like wine
You compliment me on my very stylish class
And add that my voice makes your pulse fast
But it's my fire that calls out your name
And how I wish that I'd not played the game

You touch my face and I feel liquid fire
And tell me that I call forth your desire
You utter the words that illume my night
And try to convince me that this is right
You buy me flowers and tasy Belgian chocs
And say I look stunning in my old frocks
But it's my heat that summons you now
And I wish out of your act I could bow

You speak the words that pierce my heart
And so easily make the smouldering start
Your lips brush against me and I go weak
And I gasp for air and then fail to speak
You tell me that I enthrall and thrill you
And I know that you lie and it's not true
But it matters not for when I see your eyes
I yield yet again to your so practiced sighs

At least you get the compliments, flowers and chocolates... as nothing as those sweets are! *G* This reminds me of my long ago... But you know you're worth more than the lies... that's a major and necessary step! *S*

Very well done, Marsha

Oh why does the heart take over when the brain knows better. You have put in words that we all can understand

Suthern, thank you love, the sweets may be sweet, and yes I'm worth lots more. I know it, I shall grow from it and learn from it.
The sisterhood of the Phoenix teaches me so very much. Take care

Inot2B, thank you muchly, isn't it the truth, we see it, we ignore it, because we won't believe it. I'll be fine, as will all my sister phoenixes
Take care
