*~Corridor of Yesterday*~ These walls remain erect In the stillness of tears As memories and fantasies Collide with hidden fears Strolling down the corridor Where yesterday resides Recalling times of happiness When life embraced a love Two joyous hearts once united Some several years ago Now the innocent in heartache Left with struggle to let go As ears can listen and eyes can see... The beat of a heart can only but feel... As depths of a soul now distant in reach... Memories of yesterday simply fail to cease... Amber sun of rosin hue Destine your beam unto these walls of ecru Pigment tomorrows in shades of rainbow hues Blending tints of love pure and true And let yesterdays memories be forgotten but a few ~* Coco *~ [This message has been edited by CocoBaci (edited 01-10-2001).] |

Dani~ How hauntingly sad - yet lovely. Memories are like that ... yeah, they are. 'Let yesterdays memories be forgotten but a few' I will always walk the corridors of yesterday looking for 'a few'. Softly you walk across the pages of our hearts, my poet friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
