Ok Sen and Mark ... now ya wont have to poke me in the eye with your pen

I am contentment ... unrequited ... unrealized ... uninvited.
I wonder if I'll find my way back to me ... and will I like the me I then see.
I hear the silent tears of night ... the sounds of sorrow taking flight.
I see the secrets that you keep ... all that your soul has hidden deep.
I want you to see you thru my eyes ...  accept the visions of butterflies.
I am contentment ... unrequited ... unrealized ... uninvited.

I pretend I don't feel the pain ... don't hear the demons calling my name.
I feel like I cant pay the cost ... cant find my way back from becoming so lost.
I touch the heat of the pretty blue flame ... ever drawn ... this moth's shame.
I worry about things I cant change ... wishing I could rewrite the past's sad page.
I cry for innocence taken too soon ... the child born on the darkside of the moon.
I am contentment ... unrequited ... unrealized ... uninvited.

I understand some things are meant to be ... decided by fate and destiny.
I say "I love you" without regret ... live and learn ... forgive and forget.
I dream of a world filled with humanity ... free of hate's greed and insanity.
I try to raise my children strong ... give them a place where they belong.
I hope they will always find their way ... for all these things ... I do pray.
I am contentment ... unrequited ... unrealized ... uninvited.

Janet Marie

~Let It Rain~
Amanda Marshall
from the self titled CD

I have given, I have given
And got none
Still I'm driven by something I can't explain
It's not a cross, it is a choice
I cannot help but hear his voice
I only wish that I could listen without shame

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

I have been a witness to the perfect crime
I wipe the grin off of my face to hide the blame
It isn't worth the tears you cry to have a perfect alibi
Now I'm beaten at the hands of my own game

It isn't easy to be kind
With all these demons in my mind
I only hope one day I'll be free
I do my best not to complain
My face is dirty from the strain
I only hope one day I'll come clean

Come take my hand
We can walk to the light
And without fear
We can see through the darkest night

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

***********

~3 AM~
by Matchbox Twenty
from the cd: You or Someone Like You

She says it's cold outside, and she hands me my raincoat
She's always worried about things like that.
She says it's all gonna end, and it might as well be my fault
And she only sleeps when it's raining,
And she screams, and her voice is straining ...

She says baby ...

It's 3AM I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

She's got a little bit of something, God it's better than nothing
And in her color portrait world she believes that she's got it all
She swears the moon don't hang as quite as high as it used to.
And she only sleeps when it's raining,
And she screams, and her voice is straining,

She says baby,
It's 3AM I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

No one ever told me ... I could get lost while standing still ...
and sorrow doesnt make a sound ... as it takes away all your will.

Well it is about time you posted this one my friend.  You are all this and more as I find out daily in our chats.  You are one of a kind and you are definitely "GROOVY".  I love the way you took the challenge and turned it out in your own signature style, but of course you knew that.  I am not going to pick a favorite part as it is ALL you.
