Eyes that see beyond the garden gentle hands that pick the thorns Soft yet strong he stands there waiting for the earth to make her claim Words filled with faith to the seed he whispers and from this faith new hope is born My love grow up and be a woman do what you must to earn your name Let the flower fully blossom give it time and watch her grow Now that the seed is firmly planted take from the sun, drink from the rain Stand proud and tall, don't be trampled bend with the wind, stand up again Don't let them pluck you or destroy you Your purpose in life do not defeat Take from the dew in the early morning let the peace from the night soften your sleep He looks once more in satisfaction then he slowly turns to go- But the man returns for the unveiling for he's watched her grow from day to day And as the rose stands there so lonely the gardener hears her whisper low... Now that the world has seen my beauty will you care no more and let me go? |
