Listening to every heart

Persephone

~*~

first hint of spring mist
is in dew as it is kissed
in the break of light

~*~

whiff of scented breeze
serenades Persephone
trails along her skirt

~*~

shining sun sparkling
dancing fairies on dust motes
lyre strums golden dreams

~*~

she calls upon me
Persephone, sing to me
spring's sweet, soulful song

~*~

gilded lilies white
trail pathways airy and bright
velvet footpath light

~*~

Persephone loved
through persimmon knew the truth
spring births eternal

~*~

dedicated to Marsha

PERSEPHONE, Kari love, now you know why I call you Persephone, this is absolutely a sparkling and wonderful gem and it's going into my library right away. And I'm going to pin this up here, and let the lucky ones who drift around the halls see this. (Lucky because they are only visitors and can leave this infernal place!)
Now I wonder what would be a link between Persephone and the phoenix, well I know
but you know you like to work these out love. As you can see I'm arising, it's the thermals here. (It's a hospital kid, they keep it hot so the patients die from hypothermia when they get home!)
Love this and you know I do
Take care love
                  Majestic Marsha

And I'm smiling love I really am

I love the legend of Persephone, the pomegrant seeds, and how resulted in the division of the seasons between Demeter and Hades....all of these haiku-senryus are beautiful...enjoyed muchly...

Sis,
this is glorious! I love the story of Persephone and that you should have written it for Mushy is an added bonus.
