Carbon Copied Plan

long ago in the dark of right
God wrote out his plan one night
He took a sheet of paper white
and beneath He laid rice paper thin
with carbonated black between
and transliterated His thought within

There shall be this one man
Who will be good by My command
He shall be giving of his soul
Peace shall be his guiding goal
And his loving mate shall be
His mirror for all eternity

but such is the way of life
the original went on, one way
the copy beneath, yet another
throughout the planes of time they sought
the sight of the very other
looking to come together yet again

the original document, he took some beating
the rice paper, tho thin, she shed some greeting
each knowing they were a wondrous part
of God’s great plan, the plan of heart
each looking for the return to see
the original match to the carboned copy

soul mates fly, at God’s command
in eternity, shall walk hand in hand

Karilea - Great plot here - I like the way it all links together, and the use of fonts helps to bind it.

Beautifully written, especially loved the last two lines, they spoke to me.

Oh, isn't it the truth, such an ongoing search, to find that darn piece of paper, or at least the copy.
Great story.

- ahh - the soulmate - how wonderful when one's soulmate is unerringly recognized - in my sometimes despair my loom up until I see obvious examples that soulmates can be found.
I loved this K - another great example of your talent
