I am I am me, Canadian, and proud to be, I wonder about my destiny I hear serenity's enchantful song I see the moonlit river gliding I want only to sing too-to sing along I am me, Canadian, and proud to be I pretend my feet know how to walk on the ball I feel the sky and sea pulling at my soul I touch my forhead when sighing a prayer I worry, uncertain if I'm getting anywhere I cry sometimes, then will have a deja vu ephipheny I am me, Canadian, and proud to be I understand we our own fates sow I say don't wait 'til tommorow I dream of being a dolphin in the ocean I try to have a good sense of direction I hope just to find tranquility I am me, Canadian, and proud to be Poeminister |

Lovely, do you live near the sea? Seems to be a recurring theme here... |

BRAVO!!BRAVO!!!My fellow Canadian, how perfectly wonderful is this poem. Oh, can I ever connect with you on this one. Though I love my mountain home with all its magic still my heart belongs to the ocean. *sigh* delightful. Thank you so much. Much love to you from me. Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://www.voy.com/7622/ http://www.powerpoems.com |

challenge well met, my dear friend...this is wistfully peaceful....there is spiritual longing evident in this wonderful write. It reminded me of one of my goofier jokes: Q. What did the Zen Buddhist say to the hot dog vendor? A. Make me one with everything. Grins, winks, hugs to you!!!! |

I am Canadian too and I think this is a marvelous series of expressions right from the wide open heart of a Canadian....Us(Canucks)love the rest of the world so much from pole to pole with an appreciation of what it means to be free. This is well spoken from a true Canadian! |

I found great humor in your poem... Especially, "a deja vu ephipheny." I have no idea what this means, but it Did make me laugh. I suppose it's ok to laugh in Canada? Very good imagery... like touching your head while sighing in prayer! (Ha) I know us dang Yanks are All crazy.... Love ya anyway, Bob <>< |
