Did you ever look up high Imagine what's behind the midnight sky Try to see beyond the stars above Wonder if the world could be enough? Did you ever hear a song A mournful tune of love gone wrong Feel it was written just for you And the singer knew your heart of blue? Did you ever lean upon a friend Think the tears would never end Wish that friend was there to stay Then watch them as they walked away? Did you ever leave a note Then wish those written words you'd spoke Regret the things you never said And cry about it, alone in bed? Did you ever hurt yourself And wish that you were someone else Somene you thought had it all Before you saw them take a fall? Did you ever read a book And in your head the words got stuck Then wish the protagonist was you Living a life of golden hue? Did you ever play a game Where 'winner' and 'loser' meant the same No rules were made so none could be broken And only words of encouragement were spoken? Did you ever make a choice Based on the tales of someone elses voice And when the choice brought nothing but pain With the 'someone else' place all the blame? Did you ever wish for love Think without it life was not enough Then look around and realise You've got all the love you need in life? Did you ever look up high Behold a starry midnight sky And take your world for what it is; A place of wonderment and bliss With no room for "but", "I wish", "what if?" |

Yes.......everyday and then I try to lasso it with my special rope. Wonderful piece of poetry and the flow was superbly done all the way through. I couldn't pick a favorite part if I wanted to without choosing the whole creation. |

Beckalini, Did you ever plan to sit and write something that was so real it made this poet cry. Well you did? Write on, in song Keth Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |

Thank you Marc and Kethry so much! I have read poems that each of you have written and I am touched by everything of yours I have read. It has made this young girl very happy that two experienced and distinguished poets such as yourselves would make such touching responses to something i've written. Thank you both, and please don't ever stop writing your poetry! Happy New Year to you both, I hope 2001 is filled with much happiness for you both. *Hugs* Becky. |
