Oh! The desire to be Me! The water is deep and inviting The hills are tall and growing The winds are strong and hollering The sun is bright and shining The stream is rapid The rapid is rushing Don't rush me Don't brush me Aside, away Aloof, afar... I want to swim I want to dive I want to climb I want to hike I want to glide I want to fly I want to light I want to spark Colour me brown Then paint me black... I want to run I want to hide I want to speak I want to hear Then you were white and I was brown Now you're still white and I am black I want you to know I want me to find I want a reason I want a want A requirement to live A need to survive A breath to revive A desire and a drive Somewhere I lost my ego Somewhere I lost my me... I need an I I need an eye I need to see I need to fly One day I will be my king, a viking Then my wants will be your needs And your needs will become mine Yet we will remain just the same You will be you and I will be me You will be a flicker and I will be a shadow You will be a talker and I will be listener I will need to be me and you will want to be you Then I will have found Myself again Then... |

Oh Sudhir ... I've missed you my friend! I simply adored this ... I thought at times you were sitting on my shoulder reading "my" mind. Loved the flow in this, almost an urgency, and I seemed to pick up pace as I read through, great writing Sudhir! Best wishes, /Kit |

Wonderful write! Sudhir I see you haven't lost that magic touch. The reasoning in this poem is what sets poets apart and allows them to talk in another language that others can only understand but not fully comprehend. Not that we're trying to act condescending toward anyone!(it's just that birds of a feather thing you know)...this my friend is excellent!! |

Kit, thank you so very much for coming by to read and give such a wonderful response... ethome, are you never tired of reserving these words of praise for me... well, I am not tired to hear them, though ... Thanks, my friend... O Kethry, 'nectar' you say... Oh My! How wonderful of you to say that... Thanks so much... now I feel like I am gloating... Kathleen, Thank you, so very much for your kind words... I am glad you liked the style... Karilea, I think I am back for (at least I hope so) more time that the last so many weeks... let's see if I get to stick around for a while... thank you so much... My warm regards to all, Sudhir |

sounds like the perfect relationship, one that compliments the other at all times, creating a balance, reminds me of what I have read about Taoism. Beautifully written, my friend. It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious Unhibited, unfinished in everything I do Let the morning rise like our hearts desire" whipping boy |
