I am Keeper of The Secrets. I am Singer of The Song. Ponder stars & love's begin, as Elders chant my name within. Desirous, hunger, still unknown, I keep the secrets, sing the songs. I am Goddess, b'neath the moon, sway to feel the rhythmic tune-- reaching down to touch the dew, I worry that the stars cry too. Shedding tears for unknown long... I am keeper of the secrets. I am singer of the song. I am aware that danger lurks. And yes, 'tis true that fire burns. Remembering days of laughter free, prod ember of the dying me-- I pray to find serenity. Keeper of no secrets sworn singing song forevermore. *this is a repost from open 7, in answer to Alicat's challenge, which I would love to see go around again...I could not find it? If anyone else knows, please either post again in challenge or e mail me...This one was fun.* |

Very enjoyable read, especially the 2nd read through. I'm curious as to what the challenge was as there are very few forms of poetry that I can identify or have ever known by name. |

Thanks all! And the "I Am" challenge is now posted in the Challenge forum, with special thanks to JM and Alicat! Will be interested in reading all who respond...may do another myself...guess I'm still trying to figure out who "I am"....have fun!!!! |

The rhythum and rhyme scheme in this poem is excellent Celeste! The words and phrases do the whole song justice...I always thought you were the singer of the songs anyway....my back up singer is starting a career of her own! take care...ethome |
