nobody, not even you, can sip at the elegance, the countenance tossed here
i smile for the thought or two you gave me, just before night---
twilight sped at the thought of constancy and conspiracy, but since when is love conspiracy?
and you keep counting the minutes, and you grasp them tightly
taking the wheel and this, your account of today, and how it does not match mine
"but you're lovely" you say and that is supposed to matter
and the wind of the wheel keeps turning in my mind.
and the voices whisper "three minutes to self-destruct"
--and will you destroy me? maybe not today.
--and will you love me anyways? maybe not forever.
and the moon calls and your sink swims, your swimmer sinks.
the world is papier-mache hearts and deflated
balloons and cracked stars shining
and i'm finding the reasons again

I really enjoyed this piece of poetry, and I want you to know that it painted vivid pictures throughout, which I personally like a lot! This is great free-form writing, and I hope to see more.....it's very refreshing and original!!
