I knew love,
long ago,
though 'tis not shown on my face,
for the years,
they have been kind.
Within these four walls,
he comes to me again,
if only it is in my mind.
And the memories,
they flow like nectar,
from blossoms
ripe 'neath the hot sun.
Stirring passion
put to rest,
for I thought
it was best.
The memory!
Stark, vivid, alive.
His flesh
pressed against mine
in fervent anticipation
we writhe.
The God's made us well,
How could I deny
his moist advances.
lips pressed
against my breast,
There was no song
sweeter than the moans
that rose from the depths
of his soul,
Oh! Such a soul!
As my hands
and lips
brought to life
that which others
merely could dream of.
I knew love,
long ago.
It echoed throughout
these walls,
And carried across
the land
for no river would be sacred,
to our passions
lust in the sand.
It all died.
In what was
but one flash
one brilliant burst
of sun and stars
of night and deepest darkness.
My love
lies entombed with him.
but my body still seeks him.
In the flesh of mere mortals.
Ah! The pain.
Seeking only to be quenched.
I knew love.

Serephin,

No one could doubt that this poem is from your heart and experience. It shows a rich understanding and longing.  I hope the feeling is never lost although applied perhaps with another on your journey.
