Tell me what is in your heart,
what is hidden there?
Do you want to be alone,
or do you want to share?
What is it that you run from,
what thing is it that you must hide?
What is it that is locked away,
   that causes this pain inside?

I offer my heart to help you~
  you only run away.
Would it be easier if I left
or do you want me to stay?
I try to give my love,
but those walls aren't coming down~
so I sit here broken hearted,
   my thoughts just spinning around.

   I'm standing here and knocking
with a love that's faithful and true,
but I can't tear down the wall in your heart~
only you can let me through

Your poem holds deep meaning, more than you will know. Don't be sad those walls may be up but they get thinner as each year passes by. Thank you for being so true.

In a perfect world - men would communicate like women. - Sadly - many spend their lives and never learn the healing power of it.
Sadder still - some women (perhaps a hormone imbalance) can't communicate either.

On a one on one scale - your words simply bring a tear to my eyes - for such a well written, beautifully sad poem, and a prayerful hug from me - May Christmas bring the destruction of those walls

Those walls will eventually come down but it does depend also on the number of times that they have been reinforced as to how long that will take.  Wonderfully penned and the passionate pleading for trust is very overwhelming and all I can say is......hang in there and don't give up if it is worth the time and effort to write then it must be worth the same in life. Merry Christmas.

inot, one can only hope that with time the walls begin to deteriorate, and new ones built on love
replace them.   Thanks.  *s*

Bill, in man (and womans) existance communication is all to often a problem.   Thanks. and big hugs right
back at ya.

Mark, luckily my daddy taught me to never give up.  So much of my strength comes from that.
Thanks and happy holidays.
