The music is over, the songs have been sung… The old year is history, the new year’s begun… The future is waiting, for all brave of heart… It offers more chances, a fresh and new start… The door is wide open, but we cannot see… What lies just beyond is a vast mystery… To each goes the choice…”should I follow or lead?” And each must rely on the chance they’ll succeed… Some will go blindly and follow their heart, while others will wait, hesitating to start… Some will walk slowly, while others will dance… But all will be given the same gift of chance… Throw out all the past and it’s baggage of fears… The future is now, with the start of the year… There’s new music playing at all of the dances… We’ll live and we’ll love, ‘til we run out of chances! This is a great poem! I think it captures the feeling of a new year that more people should readily embrace. Many don't understand that New Year is all about new beginnings, and too many see it as a time of reflecting on the bad times of the past year. Everyone out there take heed! Great stuff Sunny1, keep it up! I hope this year brings you much love and happiness |
