Upon your return I welcome you
my heart.. a bouquet..my love true
my lips a springtime of eternal kisses
your image showers me with joy

within petals of bluebonnet meadows
your love protects like a buoy
in the moonlight when all is still
only the echo of a whippoorwill

our love shining, a beacon light upon the sea
your love is an aura..a frame around me
the bouquet of our love haunts the night
creeping, a tiger in a jungle of moonlight

in bluebonnet meadows my love blooms
wearing only a scent of sweet perfume

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

You sure know how to write about the beauty of the love that fills your heart and soul. You do it so well...everyone should be that much in love to desire to write like that. Beautiful love poem V!

Sounds as if you captured all the beauty of the world in this one from the sea to the meadows.  Wonderful write my friend.  Nice way to celebrate love.

I liked your sonnet, except for the
Second line in the second stanza,
your love protects like a buoy

I liked the image it project, but the rhyme?
A minor flaw, but perhaps you pronounce
Buoy differently than I do.

Enjoyed the read.

Loved that part especially, beautiful poem, very tender, makes me sigh.

It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious
Unhibited, unfinished in everything I do Let the morning rise like our hearts desire" whipping boy
