What Keeps Me Here

I often wonder what keeps me here
As visions of words fill mind's eye.
Is it the "you" that brings me my morns,
From 'cross the expanse of sky?

Or the many on here that replace my thoughts
With theirs, like an open book...
I often wonder what keeps me here
Each dawning, as I take my "look".

There are times, I've pushed, I've tried to walk
It never lasts but a day.
Impossible to retreat from friends
Who share in this special way.

Opening hearts, opening minds,
Acceptance no matter who.
What a wonderful world in this virtual
When reality discovered you.

A new years begun, more words to display,
More feelings and many to hold.
Inside I am wondering, trusting myself
To a newness, a dusting of gold.

For the silver has tarnished, the past life of mine
Is over, done with, no more.
I often wonder what keeps me here....
It's the kindnesses shown in outpour.

It's Sven, the Marks, Ethome and Mikes
And Walt, the Johns, Allans, too
Brians and Eddies, Roberts, Sudhir and the Bills
Keep me here reading you...

Of course when the "Deer" and the Sys are released
And Richard has posted his words.
When jamie and james have left footprints behind
I absorb, every line that is "heard".

And the women, included, Sandra, and Lynne,
Doreen, Charisma and ~V~
Those who bring Sunshine to brighten my days
Are becoming a part of me.

Liz, and those containing the stars..
Or the gloom in the shadows that pass,
And those of the weather who myst me with rain,
Or kiss me with snow flakes, alas...

Then there's Kathleen, and Roses and Kit and Kaboodles(just kidding)
Nan and the Poet de Vine.
So many and more that I read every day
As I take in, digest every line.

I am thanking you all, Serenity's(cerenity), two
For the pleasure, all mine, it has been.
I know what it is, that has kept me afloat
It's the Passion, as each day begins...

~Wynter wishes....a Happy New Year to ALL of Passions

Good morning Wynter,

All of the above is also how I feel. I have met some of the greatest and nicest poets on Passions, and hope to continue writing and posting for a long, long time.

A nice day to you, and wish you the best during this new year.

thank you Balladeer...I meant what I wrote...for all poets...but there was only just so much room  in a poem before I would become way too sappy for others to read *s

and  Richard..you are always included in my reading..I read almost all...when there is time.. thank you and I don't mind a blush now and then..
