the moon
lights upon its speckled canvas
and peeks
through weathered seams

interlocking as buttons
through buttonholes
it gathers up the stillness
of your heart
to color the chill of winter
a summer gold

the moon's embrace
turning ice
to gentle snowfall

confetti white

will you take my hand
and walk 'neath speckled sky?
will you come to me
to warm in moon's embrace?

come...dance with me
in the snowfall
of your heart...

Oh my! When the question is put like that yes is the only answer you could get! I do love this one.

*sigh*  Wish I could write like you, Gale.  Lovely as always, and I do believe I've read the answer tonight.

Your words create  such beautiful images. A lovers moon can warm the heart on even the coldest of nights.

Very lovely, vivid imaging!  I even felt the crisp chill of the moonlight on the crest of new fallen snow.  So happy I looked in on this one.
