I SWAM THE SEA OF PASSION.. Years ago, I swam the sea of passion I forced myself to reach the destined shore To conquer every mile, was my fashion And with each stroke, I pushed on to explore.. Even when my eyes were red and burning And every single muscle cried in pain I swam on, to satisfy my yearning For in the end the pride I would attain.. And as I reached the beach so tired and worn A smile of self-achievement greeted me But then I yearned again to be sea-born With always one more goal of bravery.. I swam the sea of passion rain or shine I kicked my feet and kept myself adrift And never weakened to the salty brine But now, the time has come upon me swift.. Today I watch the ripples of the sea And still life's passion rages in my soul But there are no regrets inside of me I smile..while sitting on this sandy knoll.. Joyce, don't tell me you're saying you're too pooped to make that swim any more. We can always float on our backs!! Oh, the poem? Yes! I like it very much |
