I Used to Love a Cowboy |

I used to love a cowboy- a hard headed sweet hearted cowboy. He rode into my life on his white jeep and stole my heart, though I knew it could never last. I used to love a cowboy- I almost did again but thought better of it at the last minute as I took note of his hard head beginning to affect his heart. Yet I will never forget those rides on his surrogate horse into the sunset watching him try to rope the world and if I close my eyes I can still see his boots at the side of my bed. |

Cowboys can indeed be a rough ride on the heart but they do have a way of being branded themselves once in awhile. Wonderful write my friend and of course the title roped me in. |

Sometimes it is hard to let go, even though the type of person we are attracted to cannot bring us lasting happiness in a give and take relationship. Very well expressed!! Denise |

Sandra, I loved "the boots at the end of your bed". Hopefully someday, you will ride again, and the boots will remain at the end of your bed always. Wonderful read! Love, Elise |
