When Lovers Part

O night of passions bliss,
remembered from the night gone by.
Lovers embrace and steal a kiss,
before they say good by.
They pull away, both promise this;
My love will forever stay.
Their time together they would miss,
but both will remember this day.
He backs away from her embrace,
a tear falls from her eye.
He puts his hand to her face
and also starts to cry.
He takes her in his arms once more
and there he holds her tight.
Again he whispers the oath he swore,
while making love that night.
You are the one that I adore,
no other shall there be.
Don’t fear for me, I implore,
our love will last through eternity.
He lingers on, afraid to part,
his tears wet her hair.
He speaks of love from his heart,
touches her head and says; I’ll be there.
Just close your eyes and I’ll close mine
and there we will be.
Our bodies will entwine,
and our memories we will see.

If a dream touches us, it exists to us as anything else that touches us.
