Here, Now, Forever

Greetings, my friend. Are you doing well?
Stay a while and rest a spell,
Tell me your name, I can't tell you mine.
'Tis unwritten right now on a blank white line.
I am a poem, A poem that rhymes!
Master believes I'll mature with time,
Like a newly made bottle of the finest wine,
Sip me, my friend, read between my lines.
So, why must I rhyme? Do you like it that way?
There is no rule stating rhymes must stay.
I feel I am free, master doesn't agree,
He created me, I dont want the rhymes to leave.
....
He took them from me! I rhyme no more!
I am stripped. I am lost. Help me please!
As a mere fragment of my master's imagination,
I have no choice in the matter. I am just a bunch of words that dont rhyme! Who would want to read this? Oh dear, I hope I dont bore you. I feel very sad right now. I change everytime you move your eyes.

My life lies within you.

As you can see, I am nearing my end,
Not forever, however, more shall read me instead,
I believe I'm immortal, I will never die.
Master will die, but I'll still be here.
Someone, somewhere, will read me again.
We will not be forgotten.

Will you come travel with me? Shall we stick by each other as long as we live? - Walt Whitman

EagleScorpion,
Here are some words for the master...

come take some time
to write some rhyme
the master calls
and on word falls
the time is right
in sweet delight
to take some time
and write some rhyme.

Kethry

My life lies within you.

Not sure if that's a blessing, or a curse...reminds me, though, of a chinese curse: "may your life be interesting...."

Hmmmm....this was a very intriguing read, my friend.

The day will come when the Master will be no more. Then you can spend your days rhyming for all eternity.
I enjoyed reading and you can be assured you will not be forgotten.
