On Your Smile I Float to Zanzibar Come with me to the ocean on your smile I’ll float to Zanzibar and gather pearls of sweet happiness I’ll see you standing there with your eyes not on my curving grace but cast out into the Pacific where you will be a fisherman and face the wind and storm of another sea to come home each night to me You will bring me coconuts and your hands I'll soften with clove oil from the small jar you bring wrapped in gold lame and the fragrance will fill the night My warm will take the chill off you and I will laugh at the salt that season your kisses and bring you slippers and hot buttered rum In music of the night we’ll fall against the cushions of our love solid in a room that is built on rock not sliding sand or rolling sea and comfort will caress my dreams wrapped and stilled and breathing you Now soft my darling in this dream for in your smile I float to Zanzibar and gather pearls of sweet happiness. |

everything filled my senses, but as cold and snowy as it is here today, the hot buttered rum did it! Thank you Martie "Every man dies. Not every man truly lives." Braveheart Kathleen |

A classic Martiesque wonder. Me thinks the flowers you work with must be exceptionally beautiful as the beauty of your poetry surrounds them. |

You my friend have just become the beacon of light in the lighthouse of tender romance. Beautiful write from you and I just love the feelings of comfort and caring in this piece mixed with the visions of dreams that come in the honest sharing of your heart. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |
