Stacks and Piles Virginia Salter stacks and piles lie about a record of our time spent now both in and out left without a rhyme no reason comes to fill our day no sanity of clime just stormy thoughts our words convey and eat away the rime the narrowness of how we see our vision’s not but crime an echo of the past’s portrayed in each and every chime hours ticked away my friend or foe deep in the slime what would be a sweet abode has fallen ill to time © December 27, 2000 |

This is sad, Virginia. I think your title is perfect. Great writing! Denise |
