The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2000-12-26 11:33 PM

I was your true desire
your freedom to be you
I was your girl of fire
our love made life feel new.

You were  my dreamt of passion
my knight from realms of old
you offered me such magic
but left me in the cold.

Now you're just a memory
and I'm someone you knew
A little touch of heaven
when I am feeling blue.

And yet, do you remember
my touch of crimson wine?
Or has your heart forgotten
the days when you were mine?

When coldness lives within you
and love has gone to stay,
will you think back with longing
and dream our better days?

So sadly touching. This brought back memories of my first heartbreak. I had almost forgotten him. Yep, time does heal! HUGS
