Heroes of Struggle.

Sweating it out, tears running free
No food to eat, but work to be done
Home nothing but a shack, empty shell
Children crying, children dying
Finally, an aid worker appears
Months of pain and hunger
Laid to rest for a short while

Battle weary, home many miles away
Loneliness as mates lay torn to shreads
Soldier, do not give up, there is need for peace
Even though your own have deserted you
You make this world a better place
The scars you bear, are scars of freedom
We are proud of your strength and spirit

Moving out, nothing new, pushed aside
Homeland, once of ancestors aplenty
In search of a peaceful place to rest
Tired bodies, tired hearts, spirits high
For somewhere, there is a home to make
Years of struggles, foreigners so powerful
Shoving, pushing, yelling, and killing
A people move on passively, peacefully.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Yes! I don't think you have to look far, there are heroes all around us.

Eagle one,
Thank you, many heroes stand by us but the world seem to forget they are there.

Daniel,
These are very powerful words. Much truth in your words, as sad as it is.
Way too many hero's have gone unnoticed and given no thanks. Thank you for writing a reminder.
