"L'Amour Fait Tourner le Monde" I have no presents under the tree No presence, at all, to enter my door. Asked, would I be having company Not any on this day, not like before. I waited 'til night, the eve of last Had promised myself, to celebrate me. It didn't take long, for thoughts change fast, Empty replaced what use to be. I gathered the memories of years gone by. Placed them gingerly on branches of green. Gold and burgundy, pink bows tied, Flowered the ribbons, a twist on the scene... Arranged them differently, with new on my mind. Added some thoughts, to lift me towards high. The brightness suspended, with blue pillow find Ornament softened with words, seen by I. Satiny paleness, small but with cause The words of "amour" scripted in black Held me in warmth, a moment of pause Reminding me soon, of you coming back... A day of empty, or two, maybe three Can be consoled by a comforting know Of tomorrows arrival, as I gaze at the tree Hope is reflecting in white lights that glow. I have no presents under the tree No presence, at all, have entered my door. But filled am I, with the words left to see "L'amour, fait tourner le monde, l'amour." ~Wynter < !signature--> "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 12-25-2000).] |

Love makes the world turn..... I believe is the translation and though we may not feel a presence, no one is truly alone because we continue to reach out and when we do.....someone special will begin to love us and heal us and in that, we have a gift, a present....in someone's presence and I hope this is true in your life. God bless. "Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your hearth or burn down your house, you can never tell." Joan Crawford |

Wynter, such a poignant write for Christmas with a little hope at the end. Write on Kethry Religion is for people frightened about going to hell - Spirituality is for people who have been there. Anon. |
