Merry Christmas Spirit By: Noah Eaton Hoarfrost as sweet as sugar blankets my lawn Carolers come to my door and sing sweet holiday songs The carols light my neighborhood, I share the spirit as I sing along With this sweet Christmas spirit My family and I cuddle up together amidst this season of sharing We share an immaculate love as warm as the fire in our fireplace is burning Keeping us warm from the winter chill, as we sit around listening to stories That celebrate this beautiful Christmas spirit Sweet taste of egg nog and the smell of candies fills me with this remarkable holiday tradition Icicles hang from the mistletoe-garnished awnings of our house, as snowflakes fall down from the heavens in sensation All at once, my cities heart becomes a magic work of art Painting everything with this merry Christmas spirit Church bells ring in harmony, lifting our hearts with the magic music of this holiday Families get near and talk about the year, as they watch the children laugh and play Sleigh rides come sliding past the snow angel heaven painted in this winter wonderland During this magical Christmas spirit Santa and his elf friends get together to make toys for all the girls and boys Santa hops aboard his magic sleigh with all his reindeer to light up the world with Christmas joy The stars twinkle with delight with the world alight with Christmas light Illuminating everyone with golden Christmas spirit Jingle bells ring sweet tintinnabulous melodies during Christmas Eve as I sleep Laughter, joy, and all the beauty of Christmas comes to me as I dream All the love, all the cheer keeps me warm at night, as I smile happily Cherishing this wonderful Christmas spirit Hoarfrost as sweet as sugar blankets my lawn Carolers come to my door and sing sweet holiday songs The carols light my neighborhood, I share the spirit as I sing along With this sweet Christmas spirit Copyright 2000 11/16/00 Noah Eaton |
