Seduction of Emptiness when morning light had just about broken and the kisses of your words would enter the dawning, my heart would light up in *softsmiles*... and thought kisses I would send in return. Never knowing if they were received, as they were meant to be. Now... I watch as others repeat the words I first expressed upon reading you each morning, and I smile again. Remembering... Wondering... What has happened to that specialness between us? Is it hidden deep in the shadows of darkness, awaiting temptation's exposure or have the images aged and become edge-frayed, worn from neglect, crumpled from despair, rendering them useless? Silence is heard loudly, kiss words are nil, filling my heart with the seduction of emptiness... once more. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

I enjoyed this so much, so full of emotion. Oh, I wanted to tell you (from a previous thread) that Balladeer owns his own exterminator business, hence the "bug" references!! Oh yes, the seduction of emptiness. What an awesome poem. So sad and so true. Merry Christmas, and hope you get some dream realized this new year. Sandra |

This touches me deeply, Wynter. Unfortunately, I know what an "empty" relationship feels like. Thank you for a powerful (if not bittersweet) reading experience. ) |

So very sad Wynter so very sad! A heart full of love...love for another with nowhere to go to find a release. Only to end up being filled with the seduction of emptiness .....very good writing for sure! |

James- me too, but some things we don't have control over no matter how we try huggzzz and hoping your holiday was nice Sandra- thank you, it's not the dreaming I ever worry about..just that darn reality gets in the way too often RobertB- well the highest compliment to a poet, I think is that you touched someone, even if only one person... then my expressions were worth sharing ..thank you again Robert ~Wynter < !signature--> "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 12-26-2000).] |
