Feel the air as it cools the skin though you might have to search for snow, winters movement on a western land is different from what many may know. Of the California coast, as the sun rises the sand begins to warm along the beach the winter swells come to gather the sufers all begin to meet. We stare at one another, smile at will our day has just begun to be, for even on Christmas morning we love our own brand of serenity. I watch as others move out to the waves and catch the first ride of their day, to see the sun play with the colors the ocean spray move over my face. This is my home, my land I have known for years this is what winter has meant, to those of you in other places I say, Gods graces and happy holidays. To all my friends in our home, I wish you all peace and good tidings, and pray that you shall be well this coming year. I thank each and everyone for the kind words to my poetry. God bless Michael Gallagher |

Very nice Michael and I would love to spend a winter in those conditions rather than the sub zero weather and snow that I experience here. Although this is a type of beauty that I would miss if I were not here. I'd just like to visit yours.....have a nice holiday and take care....ethome |
