Listening to every heart

Pacific Walking

I want to walk
the Pacific again
not necessarily to live
there,
but

to breath the air
and hear the sound
that they try to
replicate on
tape but
somehow the
gulls seem fake
and
I want to walk
the Pacific again

Years and years and
then some time ago
I walked the beach
and felt the wave,
plucked the shells
up from beached grave
before they cracked
and were crushed
to dust, and I
was one
with the water
and the salt and
remember the
thought ~

I want to walk the
Pacific again

grainy Pismo sand
under my feet,
Redondo beach was
warm and sweet
with first kiss
and first love
and honeyed
moments
in the fog ~

I want to walk the
Pacific again

western breezes
flung my hair to
strips of ribboned gold,

sun brought freckles
to my face, and I knew
God had broke the mold

slender of stance
I faced the test of beast
moved east

nothing is like a western
beach, the sound
the waves
the surf

nothing can take me
back to yesterday
but I still hold on
for all its worth

I want to walk
the Pacific again
and hear the pound
in my heart
the crashing waves
along the rocks
and the magnificence
it imparts

salt of sea
is calling me

to walk the Pacific again.

Karilea~
I've been there and love this write.
You are in touch with some mighty powerful muses, my friend.
Excellence in ink flows from your pen.
Walk on, sweet poet.

Kari love this is an absolutely tremendously wonderful piece from you. I could see it all, there we were both walking along. Well you were walking I was doing what I always do, running back and forth with seashells and stuff. Generally acting like a child, so no change there then! Oh how much I miss the sea, it's sight it's sound and the aroma, which I adore.
I really and truly love this one, absolutely perfect love.
Take care

Marge, for some reason, and I say this with all humility, but I do believe my muse has come to stay, and if it ever leaves, I shall never complain for the gifts of the now...

Ethome, your compliments are sincere, this I know...thank you Sir....

Koko, when next you walk on the beach, pick up a shell for me, will you please? I think I shall know when you do...

Marsha, you walk with me often...and that is all I can say love...thank you...
