The time has come to bare my soul To set the record straight I need to tell you how it is Before it gets too late Don't want to scare you, ladies But it's good to be alert It's time to let my secret out Your Balladeer's a...flirt!!! I don't mean any harm by it Not done maliciously Sometimes I just can't stop the flow Of what comes out of me. There are so many reasons for The kindnesses I blurt I hope it doesn't shock you that Your Balladeer's a flirt! There are so many gorgeous ladies Frequenting the site With pictures posted 'neath their names To give a blind man sight! They write of love and strong desire And some of longing, too. I love the way that they can bring Their love of life in view. Their poetry gives them a way To set their spirits free Allowing them to instigate A new identity And some do like to tease a bit In ways that do not hurt For those who send those thoughts my way I must confess....I flirt! I never talk offensively And I will not seduce But look for smiles and happiness That my words may produce. I hope the one I truly love Will know that it's in fun And, when it comes to real love, She is the only one. So, if I see the green light's on And someone wants to play I'll do my best to bring a little Sunshine to their day.... And other times when I am down With feelings in the dirt I look for ways get back up... And that is when I flirt!!!! |

Aw c'mon Balladeer ....YOU a flirt..naw! I can't imagine it. This was such a fun read I got quite a chuckle out of it. You have this way of rhyming this kind of poem with such well chosen words.
