I Knew

I knew that I'd been smitten by you even before you opened your lips
Because I felt the warmth flush through me right down to my fingertips
I felt my blood turning into fire as I stood there gazing at your mouth
And any sense for my self-preservation very quickly flew away down south
I've never learned to think before I've acted, and I speak before I've thought
But as soon as I saw your lips move I knew that their honey kisses I sought
It was like some sort of spell or perhaps you'd used your magic on me
Before my eyes, before my heart was finally revealed loves' mystery

I knew that you'd feel so wonderful even before you touched my skin
Because I felt the heat rise up and flames lick me right here within
My knees just turned to water and then my heart speeded up so very fast
And any vague ideas I had of waiting demurely they certainly didn't last
I've never been very patient, quite simply put I don't have the knack
But as soon as I saw you my senses and decorum just decided to go and pack
It was like a stange incantation, I felt entranced by the idea of you
Before my soul meshed with yours I knew my free spirit was through

I knew that I'd fallen like a ton of bricks right before your first glance
Because I could hear the flames calling my heart to take this it's only chance
My eyes filled with heat and fire heated my skin with loves' hot desire
And my sensibility and logic just disappeared under this ever burning fire
I've tried hard to be less eager and wait calmly and quite coolly for this
But honestly I can't delay even one single moment to feel your fires kiss
It's like you've used magic to transform me into a creature of such heat
Before I disintergrate in this fire let me feel your pounding heartbeat

I knew there was no going back for me before I felt your whispers caress
Because I could feel my soul giving your heart her name and full address
My mouth could taste your heat it was burning with passions liquid flame
And I knew right at that moment that things would never ever be the same
I can't stand back and wait until you talk in tongues of flames to me
But I'll hold my heat back until this fire is as hot as it can really be
I'm a phoenix being reborn within the white heat of passions blazing fire
Before I take us both soaring where it's hotter faster further and higher

A very passionate poem Marsha. I remember these feelings in me also and I miss them very much.

Girl, you need a shower! You knew all right!

C'est moi? Mais quis Madamoiselle, mon petit chou, je suis impossible comme ca?

I'm as pure as the driven snow, (Except I've drifted a bit!!)
I'm like that girl in the nursery rhyme
There was little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good she was very very good
And when she was bad she was Magnificent, superb, pas excellance
I know I altered it a bit.
