Amused by thoughts That you can’t see Unknown to you As you smile at me Filled with vision An image sustained Graphic in nature My heartbeat remains The strength of my existence. Such beauty in that cheerful gleam And scent I can’t deny Embodied in the shell of dream A heart that cannot lie Yet searches for the words to say To pass to you this need A way to have you see my way Your soul I wish to feed From the fountain of my consistence We share that which is safe inside For others to see as they may But to break from this mold where thoughts reside And disclose all that’s bitter dismay With each word I have writ Filled with passions unseen Convert words where visions fit Encompassed by that I dream Now built up by my insistence. Undaunted by my dream contrite You pass your smile again And hope indeed that we just might Create that perfect blend The kiss to change that path we take The doorway that I seek And knowing now, all at stake My presence can’t be meek The result of my persistence. |

Loved your rhyme scheme in this...it really flowed down the page too, Rich. And as always, you express yourself beautifully...and your amusing thoughts made me smile as well....hugs, luv, and merry christmas...again...would love to see more like this! |
