my dreams lay still at the foot of you each moment finds you further than the last you step into my heart and pitch confetti 'round then say goodnite before it falls my dreams interrupted by silence i heard only the door closing and i opened my eyes to find the reality you left behind bits of paper on the floor picking them up i scribble upon each one one word at a time then i lay them out together at your feet these, my dreams confetti wishes one day, maybe one day they will fall into our hands -dgvarner 12-21-00 "people who need people are the luckiest people..." barbra s. This is some great imagery...I loved the gentle rhythm...step by step, painting of this poem...and it does feel like trying to piece together confetti, sometimes...sighs and hugs, lady, I enjoyed this one very much. |
