This poem is dedicated to my Grandmother Mary C. Marconi. December 23, 1911 - December 12, 2000 For Grandma By Kelly S. McDonald For Grandma With love, from Kelly Our sweet Angel, God has taken you home To a place where you can watch over everyone You'll always be happy, you'll dance and you'll sing I know you'll be honored when God gives you your wings You'll fly hand and hand with Grandpa above Sending down with each flutter, little snowflakes of love We'll remember you always, precious like a flower Hear your voice in a song, and see you in each other You've been called home, and though we're apart Forever you'll remain, here in our hearts We'll love you forever there is not an end God will ensure that one-day, we will all meet again We love you Grandma |

Kellsue, this hits me hard...more than you know. She is watching, little one, and is very proud of you, and smiling on you...this, I know. Hugs, Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Thank you all of you for your kind words. When Grandma passed away last week I wanted to write something for her. The morning of her Wake I wrote this poem. By the time the Wake was over I chose to place it in the casket with her. Saturday is her birthday...it's going to be another tough day, but I have to believe she is happy and in a wonderful place. Thank you all again. Kelly You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving There is no danger of developing eye-strain from looking on the bright side of things |
