spiraling into my dreams
past
the looking glass
where every thing is as it seems
alas
the looking glass...

every rhyme
whispers beware
fingers twined
within my hair
lips in grip
of phantom's dare
within
the looking glass.

Which ballet?
should shadows please?
That love should find me
on my knees?
And all God's mercy
be surpassed
as I become
your looking glass....

Forget my face
of taunt's regret...
a lightly licking
pirhouette...
grant me grace
allow me pass--
a grimace
in the looking glass.

S'en* No matter how long I stay away from
this place you are always ready with a weave
that knocks the wind out of me....wow.
Excellent writing my friend.  Love and hugs
to you for the holidays....and everyday!

Wonderful Sea, but

Forget you face, never,
grant you grace
and allow you to pass, forever,
your Smile in the looking glass.

All I see when looking at you is the reflection of heaven dancing across this ole cowboy's heart.  Beautiful my friend and NO.....there is nothing wrong with my vision at all so don't even go there.....just get yourself to the dance.

Serenity, powerful writing especially loved the verse,

every rhyme
whispers beware
fingers twined
within my hair
lips in grip
of phantom's dare
within
the looking glass.

just remember that looking glasses often distort reflections, your true reflection lies within and I can tell it is nothing short of beautiful.

"In the shadowplay, acting out your own death, knowing no more
As the assassins all grouped in four lines, dancing on the floor" Joy division

Now I am grinning in the looking glass...oh god, no telling what you all imagine now...
But I do thank you...but the point was simply that where there is self-loathing, there can be no beauty...but thank you for the encouraging words...lol(especially you Paula, for your tremendous faith in me...rofl)...this was just my follow up, to the "I am beautiful" statement in an earlier poem.

GAWD, am I MOODY!!!

Darling K...

I dispute your statement...oh there is beauty - YOU just can't see it through self-loathing...

but once you stop self-loathing... it's there...I promise..

Hugs

Serenity~
And sometimes, little chickadee -
We need to step back and look for what others see in us.
Nice reflections !
