Snow

Petal In the stillness of the night, among the falling, frozen tears, the shadow of your lips brushed mine, while your whispered promise captured my breath along with all the fears And in the wind that caresses my cheek, I hear my name escape, into the endless starry sky up above the empty night And from the clouds the angels reach and pull my name to them, and scribe across the heavens with the brightest star there is ... my name, from you, above it all ... no one can take away it's written in stars forever forever and a day And every night before I sleep I watch those angels work, a special magic just for me, from you, done with their iridescent glow And to this day, no one but me, will ever understand just what it truly means to be a ... Petal, within the Snow "...I am a river in winter, quiet in the eyes of most but deep, swift and full of life to one, lucky enough to fall through the ice. |

So tenderly beautiful! This carried me through many thoughts, and though I could tell some were not the intended avenues to take, I was truly blessed by the trip. For me, there were two poems, two messages, here. Not that one could separate them into two parts. No, more that one could derive two distinctly different thoughts from a reading. One worldly and one spiritual. Lovely piece! |
