Rocks, Stones, Truth Virginia Salter sea crashes, splashes, slaps against rocks that edge land stalwarts, firmly planted appear to hold back sea inanimate stones strong, immense, foundations sturdy as mountains until sea’s power’s unleashed then. . . may crumble to pebbles, or tumble loosed by wave’s grasp out into the deep as mountains become sand when land shakes its angry hand, rents solidity so, too this temporal plane, one day, when heaven is all we, too see truth embody real life, eternity, together that day we shall know the true Rock of all ages © October 17, 2000 |

Thank you all! I so enjoyed writing this one. There's one spot in particular that feels a bit rough as I read it again tonight. You mentioned the imagery I so wanted to show, though, thank you for your encouragement. |
