The Dancers I can remember the oakwood rocker by the window, where I waited for you. The blue china dishes sat upon the shelf as they watched me in the looking glass. I listened for the echoes of your footsteps, until they surrounded my mind. You held my hand on the stair, as the stereo sang to a silent audience. You surprised me with your promises, and I saw through your lies. We danced through the night, letting our motions run free as the rythem of the dancers captured the beauty. I often go back to the house. and peer through the windows. The dancers are gone ...I had to move away. |

Athena~ I enjoyed this wistful little piece. Sort of a nostalgic render that tugs at heartstrings. Very nicely done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Very heartfelt read in this one and put together wonderfully. You pen the emotions splendidly in this piece. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |

Ah memories, some dance, some sit quiet...and always they are amazing at the feelings they invoke... well done... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |
