Flies rattle in an airtight jar though there is no air to carry sound, though there is no rattle to their bodies. I am unseen and feel so clean. I hope these words hate you; and that you love them more than your children. Ever see the eye and body and gleaming teeth just the moment it enters so pretty and neat and you pull back and fire and call yourself a liar run over in the street wrapped in sheets? No? Mean either. Let’s corrode in summer’s dissolving heat. Let’s erode in winter’s beaten sleet. Let’s reload in spring’s repeat retreat. Let’s explode in autumn colors, all neat. I asked you if you had a pencil but you gave me penicillin, said it would clear up the infection of thinking too clearly, sinking, dearly in a pond like a rejection of your shadow to the sun’s cast on your leg. I could inflate your ego or deflate mine to the core, but there’s much more to do and I’m already a bore. See? I can hear you snore. Countdown ends in 4... (& love is lying on the floor) |

This clever, this is intriguing, this is mind-boggling. I enjoyed the read, ALOT!!! But I don't know why...probably its uniqueness. Oh, yeah, that's what it was, it is fascinating! |

Got to say I really loved the following line, I asked you if you had a pencil but you gave me penicillin, cool poem, excellent use of words and images... loved this alot. "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". Patti Smith |

Kethry, you wouldn't like what I have -- it's chemical-free. Thanks for reading. S'en, K, will reinstall icq pronto. VAS, Thanks. I got the idea when listening to Beggar's Banquet for some weird reason. brian, Thanks. As ashamed as I'm not to admit it, I love puns, and this poem is flowing with 'em. S'en again, I want to hear from the little artist formerly known as prince. Passions Mike |
