I heard him..the ragged passion in his voice, I heard him call to me across the miles, I heard him. I am not crazy and I am not obsessed. He told me of an endless passion, a firestorm on the continuum of desire. I felt his silky promises. I felt them, I did not dream it. Though if I had, I could not have dreamt it better. His voice so seductively embraced me, I could do nothing but hear him nothing at all. Now his words come back to haunt my dream, which is really nothing more than a nightmare in disguise. Now his voice has disintegrated in the mists and fallen away to another file of memory; one that will not recede to it's proper place. Still the shocking timber of his final goodbye vibrates harshly in the echo of my mind. < !signature--> Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today. — James Dean [This message has been edited by catalinamoon (edited 12-15-2000).] |

Cat, first of all, you are a lovely lady... and secondly, I know that there can be voices like this...and sometimes we are better off without them... I know it's perhaps trite of me to say there will be sunshine in your days, just let it pour in, but it is all I can offer just now, until you decide that it is time to go on... regardless...I shall be here as the rest of your poet friends, to lift you up and help you soar... for you shall... Hugs, < !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. a hauntingly beautiful poem. Have to agree with everyone else I really loved the last two lines, "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". Patti Smith |

*sigh* such sadness that he has ended the passion he has given you. The pain that can come from such a relationship as this is powerful. Dreams once created are hard to let go. You show your beautiful heart in these wonderful words you write and one day someone worthy of such beauty will come into your life. Much love to you from me. http://www.geocities.com/karenltorbiak/index.html |

Catalinamoon... This one is a description of my own thoughts towards a certain young woman...Sometimes you just can`t make the echoes stop ringing, but everyone has to deal with it in his own way... Thank you for sharing -Ramses- |

"Now his words come back to haunt my dream, which is really nothing more than a nightmare in disguise." There is such beauty and sadness in these lines Sandra ... you've written such incredibly heart-touching words ... hugs to you, and so nice to "see" you! Best wishes, /Kit |

Two things: #1 you are a very beautiful woman #2 You should know also - that I (and many men) are haunted by women's voices in the same way - and react in nearly identical fashion - so - yes - this poem touched me and I had to tell you! |

Sandra, what is it they say, expose the wound to the air to help it heal. Well you are doing brilliantly, these times, and they will pass honestly love, these times are some of the hardest you will ever have to live through. But just like the reeds bend in the force of the wind and the rain, so will you. I know you will, and each step forward is a triumph for you. And we will all be marching along with you. More importantly by writing this so wonderfully and amazingly truthful poem, you are exercising your hearts wings. And soon, so very soon you will take off into the wide blue yonder. Until that time, and it will come, I will be here, should you need me. Along with all your other family. Take care Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
