By Design Each weaves his own design through passing days With every spoken word and every deed And there appears a pattern through the maze A woven cloth of character and creed It matters not the origin of twine If silk or flaxen fibers on the loom As in and out the warp we are entwined Until the threads of life are all consumed The fabric then is hung upon a wall That all may see what’s written in our heart The deeds of good and evil through it all Repeated in a hanging piece of art Some fabrics may be colorful and bright And some may be of dull and earthly hue The truth is shown when brought into the light The pattern shows no matter the imbue Design cannot be hidden from the eye And always in the fabric reappears So obvious the patterns of our life Woven by our essence through the years Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 12-12-2000).] |

But I keep coming unraveled??? LOL Seriously, Elizabeth... this is absolutely beautiful... and so wise. Sometimes we only see a tiny portion of the tapestry when we need to be looking at the entire design to really know the person... I suspect your design is as stunning as your poetry. *S* |

I see many future designs of delicate nature coming soon from the Lady who weaves them so well... thank you for all that you share with us, Lady Elizabeth... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

I'm with Marge - she quoted the very lines I too found must telling - your verbal tapestry is - as always - most beautiful |

I love reading your works because I not only am treated to a beautiful piece ALWAYS but so often there is a lesson to be learned and yours have raised my levels a great deal. Wonderful and as beautiful as I knew it would be. So tell me, how does it feel to be so darn good ALL THE TIME my friend.
