You Are

You are the sun in my morning the glow of purest gold
Your smile is a beacon driving away feelings so icy cold
You've given me wings and watched me soar so very high
And danced with me as we twirl across the spacious sky
Your touch is a delight filling me with loves smile divine
And if anyone really wants to know I'm feeling just fine

You take me to places that I've only visited in my dreams
A wonderland opens before me, a delightful world it seems
When you kiss me my heart misses in its ever steady beat
And my body perks up and prepares for its delicious treat
One flash of your eyes and my heart waves sense bye bye
And caution and patience out of the window seem to fly

Heat invades my blood and my breathing starts to speed
As your eyes stroke my skin desire plants loves warm seed
The flames are burning all around me passion builds apace
Nectar flows from my heart in a river of love just for you
And ambrosia I shall feast on the food of the gods it's true

What joy is there for me when I am held within your heat
To find love and desire together it would be so hard to beat
You touch that part of me that no one has ever been near
Sweeping away the cold and the dark, banishing the fear
Opening the shutters that I put up over my scared heart
Allowing me to believe that life and love can now start
