Gallery Reading Room

somewhere, where dreams float in the ocean of existence
you and I walk among the shores of consciousness
feeling the sands of time in our toes
we watch the soulsailers glide over the waves
their very lives merely twinkles of our eyes
the solar winds blowing them through time and tide
they wave at us knowingly
and we wave back at them as they go the way of light

we continue to walk, breathing deeply the breath of life
watching the children building sandcastles in time
their creations telling the stories of history
existing only for a moment until washed away
to be built again, telling another story
the lunar breeze flowing around them like the end of life
to children smile at us
and we smile back at them, marvelling at their creations

I turn to you and you smile that smile of wonder at me
my hand rises to touch your hair in the light of life
we join hands and continue our walk here together
the time we have here will only be a moment more
is it really just a moment?  you ask
does it really matter?  I smile back
time stops, or does it really?
and we continue to walk on this plane along the shores of consciousness

Wonderful, Sven, a delightful, surrealistic read.

I loved the lines about the sandcastles of time. So well written...
