Swaying Memories

It's been long since I've been there
on that other plane, in a realm of square
where I saw you, that late night's eve
when we then first began to believe

that dreams could be reality and

reality could be seen in the dream

the times were good, the gifts, serene
laughter came, and in love, careened
we bent to sway the music our way
until the time of that fateful day

and your dream of real went one way

and real the dream you could not sway

now in slender silver lover's knot
are kept the visions that were sought
and from a plane long left behind
fondly recall the days you were mine

soft echoes from that plane skim along
catch me, caught now with loss of song
and I wonder aloud if I truly belong
or if my reality has all been wrong

and quietly I recall

when the dream of real went our way

and real the dream of love did sway

Sunshine, you capture such beauty in your poetry and I know you've been told this many times before but each time I open-up one of your treasures you never cease to amaze me at the expression and rhythm you weave into your rhymes...

Sweetie, I'm keeping this one...

This sweeps me across a chasm of recall.
Gently held in sway ...
beautiful, sweet poetess.

I refuse to say this is perfect ... 'cuz every time I think that thought you surpass yourself.

Marsha...I do believe this is the shortest reply ever given me...and I love it...

Interloper, nay sir, not perfect...perfection is a level that I must still strive for...and  for me...and others, I will keep trying...but I thank you for thinking so...

Sven, blushing, times two...thank you...

'Deer, I do believe, it is only from the company I keep, here, within the walls of blue...

for they never tell me
