Every once in a while
sprinkled among our smiles,
is a little thought or two
that a child would want to share with you.

Hey Santa
Its me Jeremy Jones.
In case you don't remember me i live in Florida.

See its not far til christmas and i never writed you before.
Mommy did it but she moved to heaven and i guess she cant come here anymore.

So dad said just forget Christmas this year, but grandma said
- Jack - she calls him that cause shes known him a long time
but me and Shelley we just call him dad.

So she said Jack now you know Marcy would want these kids
to have christmas so go get a tree.
Marcy is our Mommy's name - just so you know.
Sometimes Grandma calls her angel, but it's really Marcy.

So Dad got a tree but after we got the balls on it and turned on the lights
dad was crying and so i dont think a tree was
such a real good idea, cept for Shelley cause it makes her smile.

Anyway i was thinking that it would be okay to ask you
for roller skates for Shelley,
cause she has been good for a little sister.

And maybe a umbrella for grandma cause she says
Lord, when it rains it pours
and so a umbrella would be a good thing don't you think so ?

I think it would be real good if you could bring Dad a new lady
that maybe would want to be with us a lot
and maybe would want to be our Mommy
cause I think he isn't so happy with the cookies Grandma bakes.

Even though he eats 'em and says that polite thing.
Just between you and me, Santa ...
I know he doesn't like nuts in his cookies
cause my other mommy told me so.

If you could make her have that yellow hair it would be good
cause that's the kind our other Mommy had and I think dad liked it a lot.

If you could make sure she liked cowboys it would be really neat,
cause my other mommy always called me her cowboy and that made me feel special sometimes.

And she could fix things special that Dad likes to eat
and smile at him and kiss with him then he wouldn't be so sad.
So maybe if you could just bring a new mommy it would be okay with me.

I almost forgot.
Could you make her smell good too ?
Maybe all mommies smell good,
but I only know for sure that ours did and I liked it a lot.

Oh, I asked Grandma and she said I wear a size 8 for a new cowboy suit.
So maybe it would be okay with me if that's all I got for Christmas.
And I think if you made our new mommy like cowboys
then she would give me a hug and Dad a hug and Shelley a hug.
And then we would have a Merry Christmas too.

Thank you for reading this, Santa.
I'll leave you some cookies.
Do you like nuts ?

Love from -
Jeremy Jones

Marge, where are those cyber hankies when we need them? Seems like we're floating along the same lines today...

someday...

you're going to get a reality hug...

Marge, this is so dear!  My heart goes out to this little one and wish I had a Mommy to give to him.  Why do the words of children get into our hearts so fast?  Bless his little heart.
               Love and hugs,

Karilea~
Yes, hankies are sometimes necessary when we listen
to the wants of a child.
This little guy is in my mentoring group.
I don't know about a 'new mommy' -
but he'll sure get a little size 8 cowboy suit. *wink*

MotherEarth~
My heart is touched weekly by this little angel.
If only it were possible to grant all of their wishes.
I give lots and lots of *hugs* !

Marge~

How precious.  Little Jeremy bears a great burden for a boy.  I hope Santa heard his wish and grants him the happiness he deserves.  Thank you for sharing.

Oh, how the little ones touch our hearts!!!!! And now through misty eyes, I'm hoping the little guy has a nice Christmas, and someday finds a Mom that wears the scent of love for him.  Give him an extra hug from me Marge.  Bonnie

Kaile~
I will be sure and pass that *hug* right to him.
He's a sweet little 'cowboy' , wise beyond his years.
With my mentoring group, I let them tell me
what they would say to Santa ...
and then I took what they said and helped
them compose their letters to Santa.
We had such fun and many tender and also comical moments.
Jeremy's just happened to touch my heart in a very special way.

Thank you so much.

Charisma~
I was touched by Jeremy's wishes too.
They may not all come true this Christmas,
but he'll keep wishing.
