Twas The Night Before Christmas,
At Balladeer's House,
Not a creature was stirring,
(You can bet not a mouse)

Poor Balladeer,
Was all snug in his bed,
While visions of cockroaches,
Danced in his head.

Milk and cheap cookies,
Were left by the hearth,
A plastic bag and Pepto,
In case Santa should barf.

All of a sudden,
he heard such a clatter,
He jumped outta bed,
To see what's the matter!

Up on the rooftop,
Santa was twitching,
The reindeer were scatching,
Shaking and itching.

With Balladeer's knowledge,
And without hesitation,
He knew of the answer:
A flea-infestation!

He ran next store
To his sailor friend LongJohn,
Got his X-girlfriend's bathsoap,
"Walmart Diazinon"

He opened the top,
Put it on Blitzen,
On Prancer-on Dancer,
And finally on Vixen

(You've heard of Vixen,
that reindeer that's blonde,
She once had this "thing"
For that pervert LongJohn)

The reindeer felt better
It was after eleven,
Santa kept itching,
Deer dusted with "Sevin"

Then Santa went off
He yelled over his back:
"Merry Christmas to all"

ToeMan~
What a true ragging you've given our Balladeer.
Funny fellow -

Hope your holidays
are bright and cheerful
For we know you'll drop by
with an earful ...
of harassment
for the fearful -
Both LongJohn and Balladeer
will cower in their stockings
While you just keep
the Passion's board rocking !

every bug from miles around gathers inside don't they, because they all need a Christmas ballad to make them sing "ho ho ho" and he takes care them doesn't he!

Toe - Great poem - and I know it's the truth (except for that bareface lie about that cute, sweet, hot lil Vixen - oops).  It's great seeing you try to write poems that rhyme.  We all have to start somewhere - lol.

Stand by for a response!  For even a slight slight cannot go unpunished!

Twas the night before Christmas
And you folks all know
This suthern belle's thinking
About that sweet Toe
And of how richly
My life has been blessed
By having his friendship.
He's simply the best!
The spirit of giving
We feel in this season
Is his every day.
He asks for no reason
To make the world brighter
As he passes through -
When compassion's your master,
Being kind's what you do.
We've all benefited
From the smiles he shares
His humor and great wit
Just show that he cares.
But behind the laughter
Is a man who's known grief,
A heart craving peace,
A soul needing relief.
So Santa, I have
Just one thing on my list:
Could you please give my dear friend
Complete happiness?
Surround him with love
Let the laughs reach his soul
Give decades of good health
To relish his role
Of doting father
To his daughter and son,
Give success and fulfillment
And plenty of fun!
Return some of the joy
That he gives to me
And I'll be satisfied -
This I guarantee!

Sorry, sweets... I stopped in to visit your poem before leaving for the farm... knowing I probably wouldn't find an invitation for rescue from that fate but would take some smiles with me. *S* And then I went and got all serious. *S* (Just let me know the when and where for my punishment... I know I deserve it! *EG*)
Wherever you are, you're held in this heart... I wish you the very best, dear one... (and one silly ***** suthern belle for balance! LOL) Merry Christmas, sweet man... SMOOCH!

very cute..including the responses...but I must have missed something and don't quite understand this "pesting" occupation of yours...and how it started, maybe one day you shall explain to anyone who doesn't understand it's beginnings?

thank you for a fun read
and have a wonderful holiday
