The Color of Your Eyes |

Simply stated I can’t define The color of your eyes Some might say brown Some might say blue Still others say a different hue So I’ll not fall into the trap Of saying gray or hazel But concentrate on saying how The color looks on you How they light as you endow At me when wet with dew I’ve been asked in my time Are you a ‘leg man’ brother? Assuming bosom, butt or leg Captures my vision thither But I seek windows of soul They’re what bring me hither So sparkle for me, eyes so bright Sparkle darkly in the night Glow for me as mine will too Know your eyes made me love you There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~Janet Mar |

You are becoming one of our premier romantics here, Wilfred! What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

You've certainly added a twinkle to mine... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Eyes are indeed the window to the soul. Mine are hazel, or brown, or green mixed with brown or something. *wink* Anyway, your poem made them misty. Enjoyed your writing. |
