The memories we weave along the way Will always be a treasured tapestry That adds a richness to the present day; Although we sometimes long for 'used to be' And wish with all our hearts to turn back time We realize that we are powerless To fashion yet again that special rhyme And rhythm that had given happiness. Perhaps those golden days we loved so well Grant beauty that will permeate the soul As we allow the now to weave its spell To add a new dimension to the whole. Remember that the past is but one part Of all the loveliness within your heart. Denise [This message has been edited by dsnyder (edited 12-10-2000).] |

Denise~ Nothing like the rhythm and rhyme in a sonnet from you ! 'Perhaps those golden days we loved so well Gain beauty that will permeate the soul As we allow the now to weave its spell To add a new dimension to the whole' Keep weaving, poetess. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

"As we allow the now to weave its spell To add a new dimension to the whole." Many applause here Denise! You've woven beautiful sentiments into this sonnet. Such wisdom in creating tender memories to grow further within the "now" ... oh I loved how you described this! Best wishes, /Kit |

A lovely way to see the world... One of ever-building experiences that all add up to an eventual sum... whatever that sum may be.. |

Rhythm and rhyme...all a part of the warp and weave... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Denise, I'm impressed by your words. Not only are they beautiful, they are so true. And you've put them together in a way that just seems to roll off the tongue. I so much enjoyed this piece of yours ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |
